What You Need to Know

Firstly, we’d like to say well done on making the decision to change your life! Get ready to sweat, burn fat and calories, stretch and tone your muscles as well as increase your metabolism all at the same time. In order to make your first class as enjoyable as possible, keep the following in mind:

  • Drink plenty of water. Whether attending a Hot Yoga or Flow class, you will sweat so make sure your body is prepared.
  • Do not eat for at least 2 hours before class. A full stomach will hinder the movement of your body.
  • Prior flexibility and yoga skills are not required. Just be prepared for a rejuvenating experience.
  • Please wear well-fitting clothes. Shorts and a vest are best. Baggy clothes will weigh you down and make it difficult for the instructor to see your body.
  • Arrive at the studio at least 15 minutes before class in order to register.
  • Bring a towel with you to put over your yoga mat. We have shower facilities so bring a separate towel to shower with.
  • Rental towels are available at the studio.
  • Bring along a bottle of water. Water is also available for purchase at the studio.
  • Please do not hesitate to ask questions if you are unsure about something. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always happy to help.

Every class has students with diverse levels of experience – brand new to yoga and with years of experience. Each experience will be new and there is always someone you can follow. Students will find the room to be completely non judgmental even though the classes will be physically and mentally challenging.
